Pickleball basics

What is pickleball?

A paddle sport that mixes badminton, tennis and table tennis. You play singles or doubles on a badminton-sized court with a slightly lower net, using solid paddles and a perforated plastic ball.

How big is the court?

About half the size of a tennis court, with a net similar to badminton.

Is it hard to learn?

No. The rules are simple, so it's great for beginners, but there's plenty of strategy for experienced players. It can be as chill or as competitive as you want.

What's the kitchen?

The non-volley zone: 7 feet on each side of the net where you can't hit the ball out of the air.
